I'm doing this while we're on vacation next month. I'm thinking it's going to be very liberating. And relaxing.

I soo need to do this, but i am not sure that i can do it yet... maybe i will wait and see what the next two steps are before I start!! :)

My problem isn't so much posting, it is all the reading of other's lives that I do. I have too many blogs that I like to read, I don't know if I could just choose a few to read for fun.

It sounds like a good plan, though!

I am doing this and it did put perspective on things for me. I know the blog world won't shut down or shame me if I don't post a banana bread recipe every day. Plus I was shocked to see that my small number of visitors haven't dipped at all. Still a small number.

But what about commenting on other sites? I know, I know--don't do that either. But as an under-one-year blogger, I'm still building my reader base. I love checking in with the others and definitely see some reciprocity. Without being "out & about" on other sites, it's tough to get connected, and isn't that what we really want, connection?

That said, I did take a two-week vacation this summer & I set up all of my posts before we left. I checked in occasionally from my phone, but barely. However, with a smaller base, I definitely noticed a drop in visits while I was gone.

I'm afraid to ask: is "so what?" your answer?

Wow. Do people really get so into blogging that they put off everything else?!
Personally, I just don't have that much to say that I'm blogging all the time. My brain is too empty.
Good luck to those who are struggling with their addiction and are trying your program!
