Update on the Nalgene bottles: ANY bottle with the #7 inside the recycle triangle code contains the harmful biphesnol (sp?) A which is linked to all kinds of health problems and has been under scrutiny from bottle-feeding parents everywhere for being used in most common plastic baby bottles!

So, if you can, find a bottle without the #7 -- most bike water bottles are safe -- and/or consider purchasing glass bottles.

It ain't easy being green, but it is something that we MUST commit to, not only for our health, but for the environment.

You make such a good point, that even though you are recycling you can, in fact, recycle too much. Reusable trumps recyclable!

I am a one garbage can per week family! Yay! See, I am helping the environment. Does it still count if I usually forget to sit that one can out and then by the next week it is a very full and overflowing one garbage can?

These are exactly the kinds of changes I'm talking about! Solidifying the good things you're already doing and looking for one more thing you can do a little better. Way to go!

I was thinking today about switching from standard disposable diapers to gDiapers for Magoo and then the thought hit me - DUDE. HE'S 3. If I potty train him, I'll save the environment. :)
