		<description>There&#039;s this awesome program I used when I worked at home available at gotomypc.com that lets you access your work computer (and server &amp; email) from your home.  Your computer at work just needs to be logged on &amp; you need DSL.  It&#039;s like you&#039;re working in your office at your desk, but you can be in PJ&#039;s breastfeeding...  If your IT dept is cool with the setup, it can be a total lifesaver.</description>

		<description>I didn&#039;t negotiate my working from home status, my boss did.  Originally the deal was similar to yours, I would work from home two to three days a week and go to the office the remaining time.  Shortly after my son was born, my boss called me and told me that he didn&#039;t want me to come back to the office and that I could work from home permanently.  It opened up a new region for him so it was really a win, win situation.  Working from home has been tough but it has been well worth it.</description>

		<description>I did when I first returned to work.  I had also considered working from home two days a week, however we were not able to figure out the system to allow me to get into the network from home.  Instead I was allowed to work 4 10hour days.  I liked this a lot.  I went in early, then got home at the regular time, so did not miss much time with my little one.  And I got a full day off to just have me and baby time.  

As my daughter is about to start preschool I am in a new job, and now working on a plan again to change my work hours, so I can pick her up at preschool.  I am also considering presenting a plan to my employer for a few hours a day at home during a couple weeks in August, between daycare and preschool.  

I agree, you need to approach it with a plan, and show the company how the end product will be the same and how it could even possibly help the employer!</description>

		<description>I don&#039;t have experience with this yet, but my employer does seem to be pretty flexible with new moms. Maternity leave is all un-paid, which is sucky, but they are at least willing to work with new moms in finding the schedule that works best. There are good and bad sides to working for a small company!</description>

For $$$ reasons, I came back to work when my son was 9 weeks old. But I came back 4 days/week for the first 3 months I was back -- until I&#039;d used up the equivalent of the 12 weeks I was entitled to under FMLA.

The law explicitly allows arrangements like that, subject to the employer&#039;s approval. Lucky for me, mine was flexible.</description>
