It's a guy she calls The Smithster, and I like his guest blogs. I think it works for her blog because she gives a mom's perspective, but The Smithster is a stay-at-home dad so it's fun to hear his perspective from time to time too. And really, I've never thought much about this before and I've had guest bloggers and have guest blogged. So the reason I've invited guest bloggers on to my blog is for the shear fact that I feel the need to have a post everyday Monday through Friday. So when I've gone out of town I'd had them. My favorite guest bloggers happened when we went on vacation and I had a week of "how-to" posts. I chose bloggers who had talents I wanted to learn and I asked them to share it with my readers. But get this, this idea was more work for me. I had to import their content into my blog and upload pictures...IT WAS A PAIN. But still, I'm glad I did it. Oh, and for the record when I've guest blogged at another blog, it hasn't really brought me extra traffic. Just sayin'.... Great topic.
