Puyallup Fair
The Puyallup Fair (officially known as the Western Washington Fair) is the largest single attraction held annually in the state of Washington.  The Fair continually ranks in the top ten largest fairs in the world.

Salmon Homecoming Celebration
This annual celebration features a salmon barbecue, tribal ceremonies, pow wow, and more!

Korean Harvest Festival
Celebrate the harvest with Seattle’s Korean community. This festival of family, food and music includes traditional dance and percussion performers to honor Korea’s traditional Harvest Festival – Ch’uSok. Featured this year are eight Korean chefs who traveled to Seattle to demonstrate their country’s unique and healthy recipes.
When: 11am-7pm Saturday, Sept 8

Bug Blast at the Burke Museum
All things buggy! Ciscoe Morris returns with his energetic appreciation for bugs in the garden. Feed your fascination when thousands of specimens—dead and alive—are on display from the deep vaults of the Burke Museum and from private collections. Create beetle art, enjoy bug glasses, bug quizzes, and other fun stuff for the entire family at this buzzingly popular annual event.

  1. The Center for Wooden Boats is a wonderful place to bring children. We went last year when they had tours on the Lady Washington, the ship used in Pirates of the Carribean.

    Kirkland is also having a Classics Car Show this weekend - Concours d’Elegance.

  3. I think this list is a great idea!! What to do around the Sound!! I know there is a lot but don’t always have time to search all King, Kitsap, Skagit counties, etc. to find events.
