I called Mattel to see if this is also being recalled. They said it wasn't on the list, but they want it back anyway and will send me a voucher for it. Bottom line, go through ALL the toys! Obviously this issue matters a lot to me. We had a scare with our daughter swallowing her brother's Magnetix a few years ago ( I wrote about it here: http://blankenshipkids.blogspot.com/2007/06/mamas-guide-to-living-dangerously.html ) and ir floors me that stores still sell them. Somebody really needs to do something! Back again! Obviously this issue matters a lot to me. We have already had one magnet fall out on its own. Luckily we realized this was a problem early on and we have kept a close eye on them. I am surprised these magnetic toys are still on the market. Fortunately the Polly Pockets we JUST bought weren't on the list -- but I'm thinking of putting them away for a while anyway until another recall is done. You can never be too careful. This situation in China is only getting worse, I heard yesterday that one of the men who works for mattel committed suicide. I'll try to find you the link! Thanks for the info.
